Clearly the Hoff prefers getting recognition for being a total idiot to getting no recognition at all. Becuase he´s done quite well recently in establishing a refurbished, rebuffed image as a drunken clown.

Apparently, Mitch Buchanan now wants The Sun to print an apology in respect of a story it ran about the Hoffster getting rowdy at a nightclub in Hollywood.

The Sun’s article, which had the headline “Hoff is Back on Sway Watch,” claimed a “boozy” Hasselhoff was knocking over tables and demanding drinks from strangers at Les Deux nightclub in Hollywood the previous weekend.

The article claimed he was celebrating winning custody of his two daughters the previous day.

Now there´s nothing really wrong with his behaviour, is there? Hell, if Jack Bauer can get wasted and tackle Christmas trees, surely Michael Knight should be allowed to have a little tipple and get a tad boisterous once in a while? It´s all good fun, isn´t it? No-one´s going to have real issues with that, will they? I wouldn´t think so. But the story´s not quite done.

[His attorney] said Hasselhoff was demanding the apology runs on “Page 3″ of the Sun, which features a daily photograph of a topless woman.

Bravo, Senor Hoff! Bravo! You´ve taken a rather drab, run-of-the-mill incident and given it a nice, smutty polish. Who would´ve remembered your tipsiness otherwise? Hell, I hadn´t even heard the story until now. You´ve slipped in your own turd on this one, buddy. And are we all supposed to take your request for an apology seriously? Or is this all part of a greater nefarious scheme? Are you actually a giant douchebag or is there a lot more to you than just a hot body and beautiful hair? I´m intrigued. And, pray tell, who do you believe should apologise for this wonderful video of you eating a hamburger?
