The project, known till now simply as “James Bond 22″, has finally been christened with a fancy new moniker and a dull-looking poster. And like 2006’s blockbuster Casino Royale, it’s slated for a November release.
The story in the new film begins just an hour after the last one ends.
[According to Daniel Craig,] “There’s much more action in this film compared to the last film. There’s probably twice as much action sequences. It’s pretty much jam-packed. [Director] Marc [Forster of Finding Neverland fame] has brought a lot of humanity to the characters, which makes it a very intriguing story to go with the action.”
Judi Dench, in her sixth outing as M, the boss of Britain’s overseas intelligence agency MI6, said cinemagoers would see her in a stand-off with Bond and their relationship would be “pretty prickly”.
The forthcoming movie stars Ukrainian model and actress Olga Kurylenko as the new Bond girl, French actor Mathieu Amalric as the main villain and British newcomer Gemma Arterton, 21, as a fellow agent. (more)
Yes. I know what you’re thinking. And I agree. It is the stupidest name for a Bond flick since Moonraper. But from all accounts, it sounds exciting and even a crap Bond flick is still usually entertaining, so we’ve got something to look forward to come the end of the year. Which is still quite a long way away.
